    REPORTING & ANALYSIS

reportsProvide immediate access to benchmark reports.

Benchmark Reports Dashboard allows instructional leaders to view school’s academic progress on standardized tests. Users can drill down to see teachers, classroom, and student Benchmark Performance by subject.  The achievement report gives the breakdown percentage of the performance levels according to the State Assessments.

The Benchmark Test Reports provide the schools with tiers analysis data to be used in their RTI implementation. By drilling down the data, it can be determined which group of students need Benchmark, Strategic or Targeted Progress Monitoring.

GAP analysis report gives the ability to identify the weak standards and adjust the instruction accordingly. Teachers are able to access the Gap analysis and Item Analysis data for their courses.

    BENCHMARK ASSESSMENTS

benchmarkCharter Resources develops periodic Comprehensive Benchmark Assessments to measure the progress of students toward standards mastery for the purpose of guiding instruction. The Benchmark assessments are developed to reflect the item specification of the State Tests in both cognitive complexity and reporting categories. Our test results provide reliable data compared to the state assessments.

Easy Administration – Our benchmark tests are easy to administer – online or paper based – by the teachers and the results are instantly accessible with either methods of administration.

Reports & Analysis – Benchmark tests allows teachers to access data conveniently to re-design their lessons.

Easy Access – Parents and students have instant access to the results and have ability to review the test results.

Course management integration – Benchmark assessments and traditional assignments are administered within the course in RADIX. This gives ease of access to teachers, parents and students.

Charter Resources also develops Formative Assessments (Mini-Benchmarks) to help teachers measure students’ comprehension of single strand/ standard or small section of the subject. These short length assessments are quick reflection of the lesson taught.

    PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

    LESSON STUDY

Lesson study is a professional development process that is found in Japan. In this study, teachers are engaged into systematical examination of their practice to become more effective educators. “Study Lessons” are being worked collaboratively by the teachers with the help of our academic coaches who act as outside advisors. There are four stages of the study lessons: planning, teaching, observing, and critiquing the lessons.  Diversity of the teachers in terms of grade levels and interest areas provide a rich perspective to the activities of the lesson study.

According to the CPALMS.org of FSU; Teachers who participate in purposeful lesson study become more proficient at:

    • Thinking systematically about student learning goals
    • Using data to identify problem areas in the teaching and learning of their subjects
    • Deepening their understanding of content and pedagogy related to their subjects
    • Collaborating in unit and lesson planning to implement new strategies and techniques
    • Studying student product and reflecting on instruction and activities in accordance with the learning needs of the students
